Historic Loop 20 Kilometres A ride that starts and ends at The Visitors Centre Brindley Heath. Visiting The German and Commonwealth cemeteries., The Katyn Memorial, Glacial Bowlder, The Ancient Woodlands of Brocton, Shugborough Hall and Trent & Mersey canal (both optional), Dick Slee’s Cave, The Rifle Range and back to The Visitors Centre.
MTB Chase Cryptic Quiz: Mountain Bike Adventure enjoys compiling any quiz and have ideas for groups at all levels to take part in a Quiz on Mountain Bikes to help make the ride even more enjoyable for those who wish to use the Grey matter .
Highs and Lows : A tour of the Valleys and Peaks of The Chase.
Wildlife on Bikes : Speaks for it’s self. (No I do not mean the riders)
Digital in motion : For all photography fanatics, a web page will be put on the Internet with the pictures of each photographer in the group.
Creative Writing from the Saddle : Stimulate ideas by visiting places like Devil’s Dumble, Dick Slee’s Cave or describe the pain and joy felt on the mountain bikes. Each stop will be used to generate ideas for Poetry, Short Stories, Drama, Journalism. The Chase offers many places to make this very interesting and entertaining.
Sketch and Ride : This activity takes your group to many different locations around The Chase, short halts of different lengths of time will be called for quick sketching of the surroundings, some will be 15 minutes some 1 minute. The aim is to fill an A4 sketch pad, the learning objective is to encourage observation and loosen the wrist and hand to gain more flow to the sketching ability of each rider. The mountain bike ride will be geared to each groups mixed ability, lengthier halts for the less fit groups but never more than 15 minutes.
Loose yourself : Navigational based activities fun and easy or difficult and brain teasing. This activity will need to be organised for each groups ability.
